Benalmádena Pueblo
Benalmadena Pueblo is a traditional Andalucian village on the Costa del Sol, with narrow cobbled streets and white washed buildings. The pretty church in Benalmadena Pueblo is worth a visit by day or night. Set in an elevated position the Church overlooks Benalmadena Costa and the Mediterranean sea. Despite the influx of foreigners and the amount of building work that has taken place in recent years the Pueblo has managed to retain its traditional charm, and in my opinion is what makes Benalmadena special.
Benalmadena Arroyo de la Miel
This is the busy commercial town centre, separating Benalmadena Pueblo on the hill from the sea -front.
An excellent train service running between Fuengirola and Malaga has helped Arroyo grow rapidly. Its also worth mentioning that from Malaga it is now possible to reach Madrid in 2.5 hours, using the high speed line which was only completed in 2008.Benalmádena Costa
The Costa is the main tourist area with its nine kilometres of golden sandy beaches. It has an award winning marina with excellent port facilities, fantastic nightlife and a fabulous Aquarium.
The marina was voted the best in the world by International Property Magazine in 1995, which is no surprise as it has an excellent choice of luxury accommodation, restaurants, bars and port facilities.
